God of Wine // Third Eye Blind
This is my second favorite song by my favorite band -3eb. My favorite 3eb song is Wounded, but I know I’ve posted that here many times, so I thought I’d switch it up. I’ve seen Third Eye Blind play this one live once and it was breathtaking. The final lyrics are my favorite - “There’s a memory of a window. Looking through I see you, searching for something I could never give you. There’s someone who understands you more than I do. A sadness I can’t erase, all alone on your face.” The imagery is incredibly vivid. You feel both of their hearts break in acknowledgement of love lost.
This is a brilliant song. Props on your favorites, too. Wounded is tied for my favorite with Blinded, and God of Wine used to be my favorite song from their self-titled album.
